PRASHANT JOSHI – Finance Director
Prashant qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2009. He has nearly 9 years of experience working in the legal sector. Qualified in Engineering with Business, he pursued his career in accounting and business management following his return from India. He studied Philosophy and Cultural Studies which includes World Religion in India.
Prashant joined Jaffe Porter Crossick as a Finance Director in 2009 and has a varied role including heading the Finance/Accounts Team. He works very closely with the Equity Partners and the management team to implement ideas and bring about changes. His approach is very professional, yet calm and collective. He is self-motivated and is able to motivate others. Prashant is naturally very enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic. He is used to working under pressure and is able to make rapid decisions should any urgency arise.
Prashant has developed his own role to spearhead the senior management team along with Stephen Crossick. His knowledge of systems is immense and is able to grasp easily. He is not satisfied until a solution has been found to the problem. In his previous firm, he looked into the details of the accounts and realised an increase in profits by a quarter. He also negotiated with the bank to decrease bank charges along with a decrease rate of interest for the overdraft facility.
On a personal note, Prashant is married and has three daughters. He enjoys playing various sports. He plays Cricket and Tennis in the summer, Football in the winter and Badminton on Saturday mornings. Prashant loves to go gorge scrambling, high wire, raft building and paintballing. He continues to read philosophy in his spare time. |
