JPC International Law Partner attends LAWASIA Conference

International Update – 32nd LAWASIA Conference, Hong Kong

This week, our International Partner and Head of Insolvency and Restructuring, Niten Chauhan is in Hong Kong for the 32nd LAWAISIA Conference which is being attended by members from law firms across the world.

As the recently appointed President of the International Alliance of Practicing Lawyers (IAPL) as well as a Board Member and Treasurer for the League of Lawyers (LOL) Niten is well aware of the importance of international relations between lawyers, and that the conference provides a unique platform to discuss regional developments in law, legal education, global business and investment, and cross-border dispute resolution.

The LAWASIA Conference serves as an important forum for sharing ideas, building professional networks, reinforcing shared professional values, advocating for the rule of law in varied jurisdictions, and advancing the status of the legal profession in the Asia Pacific and beyond.

Niten is also speaking at the event and will be presenting at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Communications, Technology and Data Protection session on the topic of the Extra-territorial impact of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on businesses in the EU and the Asia Pacific Region.
