Refund of registration fees - Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney

If you have applied for registration of an enduring or lasting power of attorney between 1st April 2013 and 31st March 2017 you will be entitled to a refund of part of your application fee. This will only apply to enduring and lasting powers of attorney which were made in England and Wales.

Either the donor or the attorney can make a claim for the refund. The claim must be made by 31st January 2021.

The refund due will be based on the fee which was paid at the time of registration. You will also be entitled to 0.5% interest.

You will need the donor’s UK bank account number and sort code, together with a copy of the enduring or lasting power of attorney.
